Put together in just three months by a team headed by Mauro Forghieri, the 512 S mounted an all-alloy V12 of almost five litres with four valves per cylinder. The tubular spaceframe was developed from the 330 P4 and the 612 Can/Am, while the bodywork was designed by Ferrari and made from polycarbonate for light weight.

The 512 S owned by Nick Mason, well-known drummer of the legendary rock band Pink Floyd, raced in 1970 with Mario Andretti, Ronnie Peterson and Arturo Merzario as drivers and appeared in the Le Mans 1971 movie with Steve McQueen in the lead role. “Performance cars, and Ferrari in particular, tend to be at the leading edge of excellence and innovation, and the 512 S is no exception,” stated Mason. Don’t miss this unequalled car produced in 1:18th scale in painstaking detail!
