The Ferrari 156-85 was the first Maranello’s single-seater completely designed on CAD-CAM. It was very competitive, especially in the first part of the season and earned Michele Alboreto second place in the World Championship, behind Alain Prost. The Italian driver won Canadian and the German GPs and racked up numerous placings. Ferrari also took second in Constructors’ Championship, thanks, in part, to the Swedish driver Stefan Johansson.
