F1-91 J. ALESI MONACO GP 1991

The 641 was followed by the 642 in terms of chassis design numbers, but its official name was the F1-91. This was a development rather than a brand-new car as its general layout was the same, with a host of modifications, including a longer wheel base and longer flanks with straight central sections. The engine still had five valves per cylinder as pneumatic springs had not yet been developed and the intake trumpet adjustment system was only introduced at the end of the season. The 642’s best result was a second place taken by Alain Prost at the 1991 United States Grand Prix. Jean Alesi finished 3^rd with this car at the 1991 Monaco Grand Prix, gaining four points for the team. This model in 1:43 scale will finish first with collectors and fans!
