CHALLENGE STRADALE

Like the F50 and the Enzo, the Challenge Stradale epitomizes the very essence of a racing car, featuring only those items essential to performance and safety. It was inspired by the challenge racing series and can be thought of as a Challenge car for the road. In total, the Challenge Stradale is up to 110 kg lighter than the standard Modena, if all the lightweight options are specified such as no radio, lexan side windows and fabric cloth. The car also comes with optional carbon racing seats which are noticeable from the outside to complement the interior detailing. These seats are a significant improvement in weight reduction over standard seats.

Even when not in "Race" mode, the Stradale has many advantages over a 360 Modena. Ride height is lowered by over a half inch through stiffer (and lighter) titanium coil springs. The rear anti-roll bar is thicker, the brake system is upgraded with 15-inch ceramic rotors clamped by six-piston calipers (these are nearly identical to the binders used on the Enzo), and the wheels are lightweight BBS Challenge rims wearing 19-inch Pirelli PZero Corsa tires.

Launched in March 2003 at the Geneva Salon, the first deliveries were made that October and the car has been a great success ever since—no doubt due to its special status. The 1:18^th Hot Wheels Elite^TM model features opening doors, trunk and hood to reveal a fully detailed engine and interiors; working wheels; moving steering wheel; seat belts; real rubber tires and photo-etched parts.
