550 BARCHETTA PININFARINA

The 550 Barchetta Pininfarina is a convertible version of the Ferrari 550 Maranello styled by Pininfarina and it is the perfect interpretation of the classic, open-top front-engined V12 Ferrari sports car, complete with modern styling and technology. Like sports cars of the past the 550 Barchetta Pininfarina is aimed exclusively at open-air use, providing just a manual soft-top for weather emergencies.

The car celebrates Pininfarina's 70^th anniversary and was first shown at the 2001 Salon de l'Automobile of Paris. Only 448 examples were built, each one individually numbered and carrying a plaque inside with the car's serial number and the car stylist Sergio Pininfarina's signature.
