F40 COMPETIZIONE 24 HOURS OF LE MANS 1995 #40

Developed out of Ferrari’s GTO Evoluzione project, the F40 Competizione was a full-house competition version of the sublime F40, suitable for a wide range of racing series. The differences between the road and racing cars are subtle: the carbon fiber splitter, rear diffusers and adjustable rear wing are the most obvious. The car was completed at the end of 1988 and took 2^nd three times, 3^rd twice and came in 5^th once at IMSA GT series. When it was tested in 1989, it clocked in at a high of 367 km/h and went from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds. Only 18 F40 Competizione were built and most of the cars went to personal collections and museums. This F40 Competizione with race number 40 by Club Ennea Racing team entered the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans with Della Noce, Olofsson and Tota in the driver’s seat.
